New poll shows lowest level of support for Germany’s grand coalition since its formation

The latest INSA poll for Bild has Chancellor Angela Merkel’s CDU/CSU on 38.5% followed by the SPD on 23.5% – both parties are down by 1% compared to a week ago, leaving the grand coalition on its lowest level of support since formation.

The Greens and Die Linke are both on 10.5% followed by the anti-euro and immigration wary Alternative für Deutschland on 6%, the liberal FDP on 4% and other parties on 7%.
