Pour trancher il va faire appel à la souveraineté suprême, celle du peuple. Mais à la différence de Cameron, il est du coté de son peuple et non du coté de ceux qui confisquent la souveraineté. In an interview with Bild, he argued that “we cannot reach decisions over the heads of people that considerably affect their lives and those of future generations.” He dismissed the EU’s plan to seal a migrant deal with Turkey, saying that “Europe’s future and security” cannot depend on the goodwill of Ankara, while also accusing Berlin of being “brusque, rude and aggressive” adding that, “The German refugee policy is not without alternatives.”
