il y a 4 jours (modifié)Wow! Thanks Andrei… What a pleasant surprise! As a French speaker, I always enjoy listening to Mr Jacques Baud, as well as Mr Xavier Moreau and Mme Caroline Galactéros… The very few Francophones who tell the truth about Ukraine.

il y a 4 joursI have been listening to Monsieur Baud for over a year as I am Francophone. Hopeful that more English language interviews like this one will help Monsieur Baud reach a wider audience. I highly recommend his books. If only Anthony Blinken et al would read Baud’s well-researched books. Too late to resurrect the negotiations scuttled by Boris Johnson in March 2022, but I pray for a negotiated settlement to this horrific conflict in March 2024. Never too late to rectify mistakes — here’s hoping.Lire la suite

The only advantage is I can watch RT, unlike in the rest of Europe.

il y a 4 joursAnd how is there going to be a strategy if the objective is not defined? I’m beginning to doubt that we in the West even know what ‘strategy’ is. It has been a great pleasure to listen to Mr. Baud and Mr. Martyanov. Thank you both for such an interesting and instructive conversation.

il y a 4 joursGreat discussion, I look forward to another one with Baud. It very much conveyed in a strange way what I remember of the atmosphere of the late Cold War – mutual respect coming from intense study of each other’s cultures and history. When Baud talked about how much info was in Russian military journals, it reminded me of a relative who was a technical intelligence officer in USAF. He was always frustrated at how little attention others paid to technical journals when considering Russia. And he also always used to say that the lesson of Vietnam should have been that bombing doesn’t win wars, ground forces do. Or they don’t. So few in the west seem to understand this! Thank you as always

il y a 4 jours (modifié)Baud’s book is pretty serious, and cerebrally-demanding, for me at least. All of his information is carefully cited and sourced. There’s a lot in there that’s new to me, even though I’ve been following this conflict pretty closely for the past two years.

il y a 4 jours (modifié)I just purchased the Kindle edition of Mr. Baud’s book and look forward to reading it. « The Russian Way of War » by Grau and Bartles is a must. A great interview with two TRUE EXPERTS talk about the Russian Military, its operational Art, and what we see in Ukraine. il y a 4 joursI just bought it. Thanks Andrei, great interview. It makes me think about how, in the US, everything is done by competition. Democrats vs Republicans, Federal vs State, Navy vs. Airforce , etc etc. Makes one wonder what could be achieved by everyone pulling together in the same direction.
