Le Néerlandais Rutte met une claque à Ayrault et Steinmeier
Speaking after a phone call with UK Prime Minister Theresa May, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said that “it shouldn’t just become business as usual” among EU member states following the UK’s referendum.
He added, “The Netherlands will benefit not from visions for the future [of EU integration], but from stability and economic growth.”
Rutte also insisted that the relationship between the Netherlands and the UK “was good, is good and will remain good, which is what I have guaranteed to May…
There are countless links between the Netherlands and the UK, historically, culturally and economically.”
Les élections en Espagne ne débloqueraient pas la situation
Spanish pollster CIS yesterday released its first opinion poll after the June 26 re-run general election.
The poll puts the centre-right Partido Popular in the lead on 32.5%, followed by the Socialist Party on 23.1%, the left-wing Unidos Podemos ticket on 19.6%, and the centrist Ciudadanos on 12%.
This is only marginally different from the outcome of the June election.
